Role Overview:
- This key leadership role (Head of HR) reports to the CEO and will shape the people strategy to support business objectives, strengthen the talent pipeline, and build organizational capability across retail and corporate functions. The company is seeking an experienced, commercially astute HR leader who combines strategic vision with strong operational capability in a retail environment.
Responsibility:
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategy aligned with business growth and retail operational priorities.
- Provide strategic advice on workforce planning, organisational design and change management; translate commercial goals into effective people strategies.
Talent Acquisition, Development & Culture
- Lead talent acquisition for high-volume retail store roles and targeted corporate positions; design onboarding, performance management and leadership development programmes.
- Drive employee engagement and culture initiatives to reduce turnover and build a high-performance, customer-centric workforce across all locations.
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance
- Oversee compensation & benefits strategy, salary benchmarking and incentive programmes to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
- Ensure full compliance with Hong Kong employment laws; manage employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters with fairness and legal prudence.
HR Operations & Team Leadership
- Optimise HR service delivery, policies and HRIS/payroll systems to support a geographically dispersed workforce efficiently.
- Lead and develop a small central HR team while partnering closely with store operations and department heads across the business.
Requirement:
- Minimum 10 years progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within retail customer-facing industries.
- Proven success leading HR strategy, talent management and organisational development in a dynamic retail setting with a large frontline workforce.
- Deep knowledge of Hong Kong employment laws and labour practices; strong commercial acumen with ability to align people strategies to retail KPIs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills; credible advisor to C-suite and operational leaders.
- Fluent in Cantonese (written & spoken); English reading proficiency is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field; . Hands-on, resilient leader who thrives in fast-paced retail.
