Real Estate Development
Senior development searches, from land and planning through construction and sale, taken only on a retained mandate.
The project
These are senior searches for people who take a development from land to a finished asset. The work runs through site assembly, planning and design development, project finance, procurement and construction, and the sales or leasing programme that makes the numbers stand up. A seat may own one of those stages, or the project company as a whole.
The asset changes the person. A residential tower, a commercial podium, a mixed-use site, and a regeneration scheme do not ask for the same experience. A project still in planning does not ask for the same person as one already in superstructure. The brief states the stage, the capital structure, and whether the role sits with the developer, a joint-venture partner, or the project itself.
- Land and planning: site assembly, consent, and the scheme that can actually be built.
- Capital: feasibility, the funding term sheet, and the joint-venture arrangements.
- Delivery: contractor, programme, cost, and the decisions that protect both.
- Exit: sales, leasing, or the handover of a completed asset.
Who is sought
The practice looks for development directors and project leads who have delivered, not only advised. People who have held a contractor, a planning authority, a lender, and a sales programme in the same week, and who can read a feasibility, a build programme, and a term sheet without handing all three away.
Mandates are retained, and they are occasional. There is no standing book of development roles. The employer is not named.
